You wouldn’t sprint a mile like you would speed through 100 meters.
You wouldn’t run a marathon the way you’d run a 5k.
If you try to give 100% all day every day, you’ll burn out.
Employees who are asked to give 90% tend to outperform those who are asked to give 100%.
Sometimes, you will be in a season where you need to give 100%. When that happens, you’ll need some energy reserves to draw on. If 100% has been your standard, you won’t make it through the push.
Living your life at 85% or 90% isn’t “quiet quitting.”
It’s sustainable living.
And it gets the best results in the long run.
